What is time tracking


Vault Synapse’s Time Tracking module makes it easy for employees when it comes to tracking and logging their working hours. You can view how you’re spending your working hours and identify which tasks are the most time consuming. By doing so, you can see where you can improve productivity and increase profitability. You can gain insight into working hours through a clear visual overview. The calendar shows time offs and special days. Special days are specific to each country so they need to be created by an administrator in Vault Synapse first for you to be able to see them. 

To view the time sheets dashboard, go to the Time Tracking module which is located under the  icon in the main navigation sidebar and click the Time Sheets tab. 


At the top right of the screen users can view: 

  1. How many hours they’ve worked this month, week, and day. The first brown number shows hours logged in the current month, the number in the bracket shows the contract hours minus approved time off hours for the current month. The second number displayed in orange tells you how many hours the personnel worked in the current week and the last number in orange shows the hours logged for the current day and the time of the first entry. 
  2. How many hours they’re absent from work this month due to approved sick days, holidays, etc.
  3. A time tracking precision index which shows how accurate they are in tracking their time. 


Users can also change the view of their time entries. Time entries can be viewed by month, week, or day. 


A filter allows you to show Special Days or Holidays.
